My Story

The picture of health, quietly falling apart.

From the outside, everything looked well. Inside, I was running on empty, and no one could tell me why.

This is the story of how I found my way back to myself, and why I now help other women do the same.

Before we begin, does any of this sound like you?

Are you tired all the time, even after a full night's sleep? Struggling to lose weight that will not shift no matter what you try? Living with PCOS, thyroid trouble, bloating, or PMS that swallows half your month?

You have read the articles, watched the reels, and asked Google and every AI a hundred questions, and you still feel more confused than when you started.

You are not lazy, and you are not imagining it. You are overwhelmed. You do not need more information. You need someone to help it finally make sense.

Hi, I'm Farkhanda. This is my story.

Where it started

I was never like most girls chasing thin. I wanted to feel strong, the kind of woman who moves through her whole day without a single ache slowing her down. I was an athlete at school, and I never really stopped. I loved what movement did for my energy and my head, not just my shape.

Health was not a project for me. It was simply how I lived. Or so I believed.

The life that looked balanced

London, England
London, EnglandSo I kept going. Busy, capable, and quietly exhausted.

Then lockdown arrived, and the whole world stopped. Mine did not. My home was already half a gym, so I turned the dining table into a ping-pong table and the balcony into a walking track. I kept moving, kept cooking, kept going.

My kitchen became a little laboratory. I made snacks, drinks, even ice lollies that were as delicious as they were good for you, real ingredients, nothing that ever tasted like punishment. If anyone had this whole health thing figured out, it looked like me.

Everything looked right. That is what made what came next so confusing.

When my body started speaking

Istanbul, Turkiye
Istanbul, TurkiyeThen, softly, my body began to speak.

It began quietly, in the middle of all that health. During lockdown, at my most active, my shoulder simply froze, and stayed frozen for two long years. Then came the allergies, the asthma, the months of difficult PMS.

Then I lost my mother.

Grief does not stay in your heart. Mine slipped quietly into my body. I did not see it, I did not even know what was happening. The sleepless nights came. IBS arrived, and my stomach was suddenly at war with me. My relationship with food grew strange, and one by one I began avoiding whatever left me in pain, until my plate got smaller, and somehow my life felt smaller with it.

I went from doctor to doctor, and every time I heard the same three words.

Your tests are normal.

AzerbaijanBut I did not feel fine. I felt unseen.

My endocrinologist gave me medication, and still nothing shifted. If anything it worsened, and my body grew sensitive to more and more foods.

But I did not feel fine, and slowly I started to feel unseen. There is a particular loneliness in being unwell while everyone insists nothing is wrong.

Everything looked healthy. Nothing felt healthy.

And here is what I need you to hear. If this could happen to me, active and careful and doing everything "right," then it is not your fault. It is your body asking for help. And if I found my way back, so can you.

Digging deeper

Fujairah, UAE
Fujairah, UAESo I stopped waiting for someone to save me.

So at last, I stopped waiting for someone else to have the answer, and I began to study my own body the way I wished someone would.

No one had ever told me that sleep was more than rest, that while we sleep the body quietly repairs and the liver does its work of clearing what we no longer need. I had been falling apart in the dark, and did not even know it.

Town Square, DubaiI studied my own body, and slowly came home to myself.

Piece by piece, it came together. My body was not taking gluten or dairy well, so I let them go.

I trained as a health coach with CNM and studied the everyday science of the body, nutrition, physiology, anatomy, biomedicine, and how, given the right conditions, the body quietly heals itself.

Slowly, I came home to my own body, and learned to listen to what it had been trying to tell me all along.

Confident, not obsessed

None of it turned me into a health freak. It made me calm, confident, and at home in my own body. I am human, so I still slip. The difference is that now I always know how to find my way back.

Who is the hero of my story?

Kite Beach, Dubai
Kite Beach, DubaiI do not need rescuing. I learned to rescue myself.

For years I used to ask, half joking, why is it always me lifting everyone else, and no one lifting me? For the longest time, no one had an answer. Now I do.

I do not need anyone to rescue me, because I have learned to rescue myself. When I fall, I do not wait to be picked up. But I could never walk past someone else who is struggling. I reach out my hand, every time.

That is who I am, and it is exactly why I do this work. I am not here to hand you a plan and disappear. I am here to walk beside you until standing on your own becomes second nature.

Home TownNow it is your turn to be the hero of your story.

And now, it is your turn. I want you to be the hero of your story too.

What I actually do, and why it is different

We live in an age of endless information. Most women already know the basics, eat better, sleep more, move your body. They know. They are just not doing it.

That is not a willpower problem. Knowing something and fitting it into a real, busy life are two different things. That gap is where I come in.

I am not here to sell supplements or hand you a rigid plan. A health coach helps you understand your own body, then makes the healthy choice the easy one, in the life you already live. Small, steady steps, until they quietly become you.

Common questions from women I work with

Why am I always tired, even when I sleep enough?

Tiredness that rest does not fix often has more to do with what happens around your sleep than the hours themselves, blood sugar, stress, digestion and daily rhythm all play a part. Research suggests these are worth exploring together, gently and without labels.

Can you lose weight with PCOS and hypothyroidism?

Many women find weight harder to shift with these conditions, and it is not a matter of willpower. My role is educational, supporting your lifestyle, nutrition and habits alongside your medical care, so your body feels more supported rather than fought against.

Can gut problems cause weight gain and low energy?

Digestive comfort is closely linked to how we absorb nutrients and how we feel day to day. Research increasingly connects gut health with energy and metabolism, so we look at it as part of the whole picture, never in isolation.

Is it my hormones, or something else?

Often it is not one single thing. Energy, sleep, stress and hormones all influence each other. Together we untangle what might be contributing, so it stops feeling like a mystery, always within an educational, non-diagnostic scope.

Why do I keep waking up at 3am?

Waking in the early hours is common and can be linked to stress, blood sugar and the hours before bed. Small, practical changes to your evening rhythm often help more than people expect.

Is it "all in my head," or can stress make me physically unwell?

Stress is not just a feeling, it has real, physical effects on sleep, digestion, energy and hormones. You are not imagining it. Understanding that link is often the first step toward feeling more like yourself.
